Insight Recap: Climate Changemakers

Each month Insight explores a topic that is relevant to the rapidly evolving world or work. Tonight we are looking at a topic that couldn’t be more important to the future of our planet – Sustainability.   When looking down the barrel of global catastrophe, it seems an insurmountable problem, but thankfully there is a groundswell of corporates, leaders and individuals who have given up waiting for governments to take decisive action on climate change and are taking things into their own hands. In one of our most impressive and formidable panels three Climate Change Makers took a place on our Insight stage:

  • Ronni Kahn – CEO and Founder of Ozharvest, international food waste speaker, United Nations Environment Partner, and member of the Federal Government’s National Food Waste Strategy Steering Committee;
  • Rod Simpson – Inaugural Environment Commissioner of the Greater Sydney Commission, and Associate Professor of Architecture, Design and Planning (UTS and University of Sydney);
  • Clare Press  – Vogue’s sustainability editor, sustainable fashion crusader, podcaster (Wardrobe Crisis), and author of a new book about activism, Rise & Resist, How to Change the World (MUP).
