Equip: Circus Oz Tickets

In 2018, Circus Oz celebrates its 30th year of performing for audiences in Australia and around the world. It also has a brand new Artistic Director, Rob Tannion, who was head-hunted and lured back to Oz from Europe by Paramount client Tony Grierson of Aegeus Executive Search. Tony has generously offered The Office Space clients and friends 20 free tickets to a special January 12th viewing of Circus Oz’s new show – Model Citizens –  at the Sydney Festival in Parramatta.  Adding to the experience, you will be invited to pre-show drinks with Rob Tannion to hear more about his unorthodox rise to one of the most prominent performing arts positions in the country. As one of the very first “new” or “contemporary” circuses without animals (it pre-dates Cirque du Soleil by several years), Circus Oz continues to make a show with only a dozen multi-skilled performers who all perform the entire show, doing “a bit of everything”, from acrobatics and clowning to music and aerial work. The skills are high-level circus, but the show is usually comic and character-driven. The cast is a diverse mix of body shapes and ages, with an equal number of men and women. Their style is generally cheeky, anarchic and subversive, a balance of strong women and graceful men. In 2018, Circus Oz explodes back onto stage, audaciously unpacking the myths of modern Australia in their latest high octane circus show Model Citizens –  the first creation fuelled by new Artistic Director Rob Tannion.
